 Today we are going to look at a couple more speeches and discuss the following:

1) Hook

2) Thesis

3) Use of Evidence

4) Use of Personal Connection

5) Use of - "Why should the audience" care

6) Conclusion 

(In oration the conclusion is a "call to action")

7) Topic

We will also discuss ETHOS, LOGOS, PATHOS

 I want you to watch the following video and post on your blog the following: 1) Hook (what is her hook)? 2) Thesis (what is her thesis)? 3) Order of Development (what points will she cover in her speech)? 4) Expert Testimony (at least two examples) 5) Personal Connection 6) Conclusion (what was it? Did she return to her hook?) NOTE - the above is for a a grade. Also note, you first draft is due next Wednesday. This should be a full working draft that we can discuss - not a partial one.
